Learning on the job

When a senior manager with over 23 years of experience in IT, most of it in management, smashed against the business and the first day he realises he needs to find out about managing the agile process… The most amazing thing is that in order to attend a training in a completely new methodology on the first month of your new job one genuinely has to believe that another methodology is that – just another methodology that you can pick it up from a training and successfuly implement day after, whereas in reality it takes just a little bit of knowledge to find out that agile methodology takes decades of experience to be able to manage it just about well. At least we’ve got a 70′s guy at the helm willing to make that leap to 90′s overnight.
